Modified Lauryl Sulfate Tryptose Broth Base (MLST)
Usages:
For enrichment and molecular biological test methods of Enterobacter sakazakii in milk powder.
Principle:
Tryptone provide carbon and nitrogen sources to meet the needs of bacterial growth; sodium chloride maintains osmotic equilibrium; lactose is coliform fermentable sugars; potassium dihydrogen phosphate and dipotassium hydrogen phosphate is a buffer; lauryl sodium and vancomycin inhibit the growth of Gram-positive bacteria.
Formulation(per litre):
Trypticase 20.0g
Sodium chloride 34.22g
Lactose 5.0g
Potassium dihydrogen phosphate 2.75g
Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate 2.75g
Sodium lauryl sulfate 0.1g
Final pH6.8 ± 0.2
How to use:
1.Suspend 64.8g in 1L of distilled water , stirring heated to boiling ,autoclave at 121℃ for 15 minutes.
2.Diluted and treated samples.
