Usages:
For isolating Salmonella other than S. typhi.
Principle:
Peptone provides the carbon and nitrogen; sodium chloride maintain osmotic equilibrium brilliant green against Gram-positive bacteria and most non-Salmonella Gram-negative bacilli.
Formulation(per liter):
Yeast Extract | 3.0 g |
Peptic Digest of Animal Tissue | 5.0 g |
Pancreatic Digest of Casein | 5.0 g |
Lactose | 10.0 g |
Sodium Chloride | 5.0 g |
Sucrose | 10.0 g |
Phenol Red | 80.0 mg |
Agar | 20.0 g |
Brilliant Green | 12.5 mg |
Final pH | 6.9±0.2 |
How to use:
1.Suspend 58g in 1 L of distilled water , stirring heated to boiling until completely dissolved, dispensing flask, 121 ℃ autoclave for 15min.
2.Diluted and treated samples.
Storage: Keep container tightly closed, store in a cool, dry place, away from bright light. Storage period of 3 years.
