Usages:
For isolation and enumeration of coliforms and E.coli in foodstuffs.
 
Principle:
Peptone and yeast extract powder provides carbon and nitrogen sources and trace elements; lactose are fermentable sugars; sodium chloride maintains osmotic equilibrium; the 3rd bile salts and crystal violet inhibiting gram-positive bacteria, especially Gram positive bacteria and fecal streptococci; neutral red as pH indicator.
 
Formulation（per liter）:
Peptone 10g
Peptone 7.0g
Yeast extract powder 3.0g
Lactose 10.0g
Sodium chloride 5.0g
The 3rd bile 1.5g
Neutral Red 0.03g
Crystal violet 0.002g
Agar 15.0g
MUG 0.1g
Final pH 7.4 ± 0.2
 
 
How to use：
1.Suspend 41.6g in 1 L of distilled water , stirring heated to boiling until completely dissolved, distribute into flask without autoclave.
2.Diluted and treated samples.
 
Storage: Keep container tightly closed, store in a cool, dry place, away from bright light. Storage period of 3 years.
