Description：
Taq PlatinumADNA Polymerase is ideal for automatic “hot-start” amplification of
DNA fragments with improved specificity over Taq DNA polymerase. It is derived
from recombinant Taq DNA polymerase by binding of a thermolabile inhibitor
containing chemical compound to Taq DNA polymerase. Taq Platinum DNA
Polymerase has a 3’→5’ Exonuclease Activity as well as 5’→3’ Exonuclease
Activity. During the initial denaturation step of PCR, the inhibitor is denatured
and active Taq DNA polymerase is released into the reaction. With Taq Platinum
DNA Polymerase, improved specificity and yields of PCR compared to Taq DNA
polymerase without “hot-start” could be reached.

Definition of Activity Unit：
One unit is defined as the amount of the enzyme required to catalyze the
incorporation of 10 nmoles of dNT P’s into an acid-insoluble form in 30 minutes at
74°C using hering sperm DNA as substrate.

Quality Control：
The absence of endodeoxyribonucleases, exodeoxyribonucleases and ribonucleases
confirmed by appropriate quality tests. Functionally tested in PCR.
